Preschool
Through a warm accepting climate, we will provide an educational program which encourages the growth of the whole child. Our continuous interactive curriculum will strive to meet the spiritual, physical, emotional, social, and intellectual needs of the preschool child. Under the guidance of qualified teachers, the unique talents and abilities of each child will be valued.
Since play is the language of children, a Christian atmosphere for group living will promote healthy attitudes and place emphasis on the importance of good decision making. It is the intent that this program will foster a positive outreach between Satellite Beach UMC and the community.
The SBUMC Preschool offers the following programs, and follows the Brevard County school calendar.
- Two Year Olds: Classes are held weekly on Thursdays and Fridays (9:10 – 11:50) in room 1. We have a maximum of 10 students with teacher Mrs. Locke and assistant Mrs. Eisert. Applicants must be two years old on or before Sept 1 of the year enrolling. A one time nonrefundable registration fee of $100 is due at time of application, and tuition is $130 a month.
- Three Year Olds (3 day program): Classes are held Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday (9:00 – 12:00) in room 1. We have a maximum of 10 students with teacher Mrs. King and assistant Mrs. Locke. Applicants must be toilet trained and three years old on or before September 1. A one time nonrefundable registration fee of $100 is due at time of application, and tuition is $170 a month.
- Threes Year Olds (5 day program): Classes are held Monday through Friday (9:00 – 12:00) in room 2. We have a maximum of 10 students with Mrs. Smith and assistant Mrs. Locke. Applicants must be toilet trained and three years old on or before September 1. Teacher Mrs. Smith, Aide Mrs. Locke. A one time nonrefundable registration fee of $100 is due at time of application, and tuition is $270 a month.
- Four Year Olds (VPK): Classes are held Monday through Friday (9:00 – 12:00). Applicants must be four years old on or before September 1. We have two VPK rooms, Teacher Mrs. Halsey in room 3, and teacher Mrs. Hicks in room 4. Students enrollment is not insured until the VPK certificate as been filed with the preschool.
- Lunch Bunch: A program for students in a three year old class or four year old class, that meets Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays until 2pm. Lunch Bunch is offered on a permanent roster system with drop in availability when space allows. The fee for a student attending all days of the week that Lunch Bunch is offered is $107 a month, regardless of how many days attended or days scheduled for Lunch Bunch.The fee for a student attending 3 days a week is $82, regardless of how many days attended or days scheduled for Lunch Bunch. Lunch Bunch is cancelled for most program days.
- Before Care: Offered every morning from 8:25 – 8:55 am for those three and up. The monthly fee for a 5 day student is $35, the monthly fee for a 3 day student is $25 and drop ins are $3 a morning.
