And for us at SBUMC, it begins with worship on Sunday. During worship we seek to praise God through our songs and prayers. The message on Sunday is not about high theological ideas, but about Scripture’s teachings for everyday life – the struggles, the triumphs, the joys, and the heartaches. It is about relationships, choices, and bringing meaning to our lives. It speaks to life made new when we surrender our will to God and how He will release us to a life of joy, remembering that Christ said he came that we might have life, and that we might have it more abundantly.
At SBUMC, we gather as friends knowing that God does not look at our past, but gives us great possibilities for the future. He is a God of the future and a God of eternal hope. If you are new to SBUMC, we are excited to be part of your story and hope that you feel right at home with our amazing SBUMC Family. If you are new to the area or just seeking a place to worship Christ, come and see for yourself what exciting things are happening in the Name of Christ within this warm and loving community.
I pray that God blesses you and I can't wait to see you this weekend.
